Robert Cain
Robert Cain brings a unique background to profit participation and AI likeness litigation cases. He has 35 years' experience working inside the film and television industry, as a studio and guild executive, producer, consultant, investment banker, and screenwriter, with the finance, M&A, and deal structuring background to read the economics as well as the creative. He has acquired, managed, and sold film and TV libraries on behalf of major studios and for such private equity players as TPG and Providence Equity. He has also concurrently spent 8 years in the Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning fields, co-founding and building companies focused on AI biotechnology, AI media creation, and deep tech semiconductors for AI data centers. He has negotiated major labor agreements with SAG-AFTRA, the WGA, the DGA, the AMPTP, IATSE, and AFM. He has been retained as an expert in eight entertainment litigation matters, and has provided Right of Publicity, breach of contract, profit participation, and valuation opinions and analyses.
In addition to his decades spent in Hollywood, Rob has also spent a substantial portion of his career living and working in China, Russia, Canada, the United Kingdom, Italy, India, Singapore, Taiwan, and South Korea.
